Summer Memories: Trip to Bonita Springs
Last week we took a short trip to Bonita Springs, FL for the end of Isabella's summer vacation. We packed our bags, hopped in the car and drove about 2 hours northwest of Miami, just a little after Naples.
We arrived at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Hotel. We were nicely greeted as we walked into the beautiful grand lobby. As we checked in, we were offered a glass of champagne (which of course we accepted happily) and were quickly checked into our room. We had requested an early check-in and they nicely accommodated us.
We were eager to get to our room and quickly change into a our bathing suits to go down to the pool to enjoy the lovely weather. We stayed in a double suite which was very comfortable, spacious and modern.
We made ourselves at home, changed into a our bikinis and went to the pool. The hotel has 3 pools, a kid pool that has a slide, an adult pool and a regular pool. Isabella was in heaven, especially when a hot-dog was served by the pool for lunch (with fries!).
For dinner we chose to drive to the nearest place by the hotel, which was an outside mall in Coconut Point. We really enjoyed the quietness of the town and the laid-back feel.
The next days of our stay we opted for the beach, which was stunning to say the least. The water was clear and the sand covered in ALL kinds of shells. I thought the beach was stunning enough until a family of dolphins swam right by the shore, then my jaw just dropped.
I got to enjoy a full week with her away from work and our busy lives. We collected shells (lots of them), swam in the ocean, "tried" to escape the rain, laughed (a LOT), ate (a LOT). But most importantly we made unforgettable memories and that for me is what matters most.
Hope you enjoy these memories, as much as we enjoyed making them.
