Emotions are hard to put into words. You can try to express them with words used to describe those specific feelings, but it's impossible to make your reader fully feel what you did in the moment. I might not be the most talented writer, but I will try my best to express my emotions below... here it goes!

Ever since I can remember the world of fashion and everything related to it has awoken something in me that is hard to describe. Maybe I was born interested in it or maybe the experiences of my early childhood led me to fall absolutely in love with everything about it. The fact that my mother worked in the industry definitely had a big impact on my life. I still remember the first time my mom took me to Colombia Moda, I must have been about six years old. I absolutely loved everything about it – the lights, the fast pace, the thrill of being backstage where everything smelled like hairspray, the models (that at my young age looked like giants), the exaggerated makeup and outrageous hairdos, the blinding flashes of the cameras, the runway and of course the DESIGNS. The designs alone were reason why hundreds of people gathered under one roof to sit and observe collections that would dictate the trends of the season.

Then, at around age 12, I started modeling. I experienced the world of fashion from another perspective, but I kept falling in love more and more with it. A couple of years after my modeling career started to take off, we moved to the US where I didn’t know anyone in the industry and I kind of had to leave that world behind. Nonetheless, my love for it always remained.

Now, almost 20 years later, the world of fashion and I crossed paths once again. This time during Miami Fashion Week 2017, and God I had missed it!

Starting my fashion blog has opened up a lot of doors for which I am so thankful. For this event, I was invited to the shows as one of the MIAFW17 Ambassador Influencers as well as to a special brunch dedicated to us influencers. I cried when I received the email from the amazing team behind Miami Fashion Week. It represented how my dreams have begun to become my reality and I will forever be grateful for this experience!

Ok so, with all my emotions aside, let’s talk fashion! I want to share with you my favorite looks from each of the collections, what I wore and the highlight moments of this exciting week.
